And some people are getting a free tow hitch out of it (2 million or so) I guess the car failed at rear end collisions but adding the tow hitch to it made it pass. Cherokee, and other related cars are in the list, the patriot and whatever else they make relative to it.

link? Also, this is pretty old news i think, in fact Im pretty sure it predates the cherokee (KL)

This is what I heard today at the dealer I work at. Maybe I misheard, Maybe it was the gastank one, who knows.

yeah, it was grand cherokees and commanders, the fuel tank was right in the rear and if you rear ended one it could rupture (duh) so Jeeps solution was to offer to fit each car with a hitch (not mandatory).
